Barbara Marie Kozicki, 90, of Kittanning died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at home. She was born on Dec. 1, 1926, in Kittanning to the late Blazej “Harry” and Mary (Bentley) Kozicki. Barbara lived in the area her entire life and retired from ACMH and PPG. She was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning. She like crocheting, doing puzzles, writing letters, spending time with family and friends. She loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers. She raised her younger brothers and sisters after their parents deaths and considered their children as her grandchildren. Survivors include brother, John (Pat) Kozicki of Osterberg, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, June Kozicki and Shirley Schrecengost, both of Kittanning; and brother-in-law, Eugene Yockey of Chugiak, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph, Edward, Adam, Sylvester, and Louis; sisters, Sister Mary Ignacita, Josephine Palinski, Rose Carnes, Bernice Hager, Helen Diller, Eleanor Toy, Theresa Radic, Patricia Ebbitt, and Kathleen Yockey; good friend, Jules J. Solak; four nieces; one nephew; and one great-nephew. Friends will be received from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning. Additional viewing will be held from 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home until the time of Parting Prayers at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church, 101 High St., Kittanning, with the Rev. Douglas E. Dorula officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society – Relay for Life of Ford City, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15205.
