Brenda Mae (Watterson) Corp, 66, of Meadville, died Friday Sept. 15, 2017, at home.  She was born March 30, 1951, in Kittanning to Earl F. Watterson and the late Phyllis J. (Pyle) Watterson.  Brenda was a nurse who loved caring for people.  Brenda retired from nursing after working for the Meadville Medical Center, and doing home health care.  She was also a great storyteller, avid reader, and she loved her grandchildren who where the light of her life.  Brenda graduated in 1968 from Brookville High School, 1970 from LPN School, and received her Bachelors of Nursing in 1992 from Gannon University.  She is survived by her father, Earl F. (Barb) Watterson of Worthington; three daughters: Amy Lynne (Ted) Smith of Conneautville, and Rebekah Mae (Kevin) Glander of Edinboro, and Mari Phyllis Corp of Meadville; a son: Dean Franklin (Melissa) Corp of Lower Burrell; eight grandchildren: Justin and Alyssa Smith, Kelsey and Garrett Glander, Anna Marie and Christian Corp, Derek and Danelle Longstreth; five sisters: Nancy (Gary) Shilling of Middleburg, Fla., Barbara (Chester) Harris of Ohio, Joyce (Eric) Force of Kittanning, Sue (Pete) West of Worthington, and Charlene (Wayne) Jackson of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Robert Earl Watterson of Manorville; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother; and her husband, Dean Corp.  Friends will be received on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington, with Dr. Rev. Chester Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Brenda’s honor to the Franklin Union Baptist Church at 772 Claypoole Road, Worthington, PA 16262.
