Carl Robert Southworth, 89, of Kittanning, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Armstrong County Health Center. He was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Kittanning, a son of the late Harry and Sarah (Shaffer) Southworth. A lifelong resident of the community, he was a retired manager salesman at Dean Philpps, Montgomery Ward and Good Tires. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of First Baptist Church, Kittanning. He was an avid toy train collector. Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Waclav (James), of Manorville, and Mary Lou Popson (Steve), of Clearfield; sons, Robert Southworth (Jennifer), of Kittanning, and Thomas Southworth (Rose), of Ford City; grandchildren, Chris Russo (Dan), of Ford City, Melissa Warcholak (Mike), of Ford City, Janice Waclav (Ian Beck), of Ford City, Jennifer Brodey (Jeremy), of White Marsh, Md., Benjamin Elwood (Carrie), of Fontana, Calif., Dalton Southworth, of Ford City, Desiree Southworth, of New Mexico, and Emily Southworth, of Kittanning; great-grandchildren, Danny Russo, Maggi Russo, Jordan Waclav, Nora Beck, Paige Brodey, Peyton Brodey, Dylan Brodey, Emma Elwood, Lilah Elwood and Evie Elwood; and great-great-grandchild, Lilly Copeland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Aline "Deanie" (Clever) Southworth; and brothers, Fred, Roy and Merle Southworth. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Kittanning, with the Rev. Ken Thompson officiating. Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates
