Edward G. Piper, 71, of Dayton, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at ACMH Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1946, in Kittanning, to the late John “Jack” and Betty (Rosen) Piper.
Edward formerly worked for R&P Coal Co. and later as an over the road truck driver.
He was a 1965 graduate of Kittanning High School.
He was a member of the Mt. Union Bible Church, where he was an Elder. He also was a member of the Pine Creek Sportsman Club.
Edward loved to fish, hunt, and go camping he also liked watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and loved to watch the Pirates. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Randa (Crissman) Piper; sons, Edward D. (Charlene) Piper and William A. (Jackie) Piper; five grandchildren, Roxanne, Branden, Shawn, Kaylyn, and William; one great-granddaughter, Sierra; sister, Lydia (Owen) Bowser; brothers, George (Jan) Piper and Denny (Diane) Piper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Julia Anna Piper; and brother, John Piper.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. A funeral service will be held Sunday in the funeral home at 2 p.m. with additional visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service with the Rev. Richard Burns officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Creek Baptist Church Cemetery
