Elizabeth (Steele) Brocious, 90, of Worthington died on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Meadow Lake Manor in Worthington.

She was born on May 29, 1926, in Kittanning to the late Milton and Anna (Grafton) Steele.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and was a lifelong resident of the area.

She attended the Franklin Union Baptist Church.

For 40 years, she was a member of the Worthington American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and also was a member of the Buffalo Valley Beagle Club Auxiliary.

She enjoyed push mowing her yard, gardening, puzzles, reading her Bible, and she also loved to take long walks, and spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved taking trips with her daughters every summer.

Survivors include daughters, Janet (Harold) Toy of Worthington and Debra (Lyle) Foringer of Craigsville; a son, Darl Jr. (Donna) Brocious of Worthington; grandchildren, Janelle (Keith) Szymanski, Wanda (Mike) Milito, Sarah Foringer, Nelson (Jessi) Brocious, Elizabeth (Derek) Stear; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Sue (Bob) Stitt of Elderton; brother, Ralston (Judy) Steele of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Darl Willis Brocious, who died in 2002; three brothers, Ernest Grafton, Jay and Herbert Steele; and four sisters, Ethel Steele, Alice Gallo, Edith Gaggini, and June Steele.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Scott Jones officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.
