Emilee Ann Hooten, 13, of Kittanning, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at her home in East Franklin Township.  She was born July 2, 2004, in East Franklin Township, to Annie (Orr) Salkind and Adam Hooten.  Emilee loved spending time with her mother and her friends, playing games with her sisters, watching videos, ice skating, riding quads, cooking, and baking cookies with her Aunt Tiffany. She also loved going to school dances, wearing makeup, fishing, playing softball, football, Snapchatting, spending time with her cousins, and sleepovers.  Left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Annie L. (Orr) Salkind of East Franklin Township; her father, Adam Hooten of North Buffalo Township; sisters, Adalee R. and Cali B. Hooten of East Franklin Township; brother, Austin A. Hooten of East Franklin Township; grandfather, R. Douglas Orr of East Franklin Township; friend of family, Diana L. Heilman of North Buffalo Township; step grandfather, David R. Wolfe of North Buffalo Township; grandparents, Gary and Rene Hooten of North Buffalo Township; half brother, Jace Hooten of North Buffalo Township; step sister, Olivia Boltz of North Buffalo Township; uncle and aunt, Jacob and Tiffany Orr of East Franklin Township; uncle, Anthony Wolfe of North Buffalo Township; uncle and aunt, David Jr. and Rachel Wolfe of Plum Borough; uncle and aunt, Richard and Heather Anker of Cheswick; aunt, Sarah E. Hooten of Reynoldsville; great-grandmother, Nancy J. Hooten of Brockway; and great-great- grandmother, June Phillips of Sligo.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Darren P. Hooten; grandmother, Paula (Anthony) Wolfe; great-grandparents, Arnold and Esther Orr; great-grandparents, Judi and Ben Anthony; uncle, Toby Orr; great-grandfather, Michael Carusso; great-grandmother, C. Irene Kerstetter; great-great- grandparents, George and Elizabeth Emminger; great-grandfather, Walter R. Hooten; and great-great-grandfather, Merle Phillips.  A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Harvest Community Church, 143 Reed Road, in East Franklin Township, with Pastor James Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salkind/Hooten Family Fire Victims Fund at S&T Bank.
