Evelyn G. Horneman, 91, of Cowansville died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 in Sugarcreek.  She was born Sept. 27, 1924 in Dayton to Robert Oscar and Verna (Hollenbaugh) Beatty.  A member of the Church of God in Vandergrift and then she attended Kittanning Free Methodist Church.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and needlepoint.  Survivors include niece, Donna (Beatty) Waltenbaugh (Robert); nephew, William Beatty (Carol); stepdaughters, Laurie (Horneman) Prazenica (Dan), Linda (Horneman) Mriso, LuAnn (Horneman) Durci (David); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and one great-niece; numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Arthur Dwight McBryar and second husband, Joseph Ralph Horneman.  Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning with the Rev. Harold Haire officiating. Interment will be in Dayton Glade Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to Kittanning Free Methodist Church, 2339 Freeport Road, Kittanning, Pa. 16201.
