Frederick Anthony Fox, 84, of West Kittanning died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at The Groves, formerly Briarcliff Pavilion in Irwin.  He was born on May 4, 1932, in Ford City to Homer and Mary (Sanoba) Fox.  Mr. Fox was former manager at the A&P Store for 25 years, then at Linde Aire Union Carbide before he became disabled due to Multiple Sclerosis.  A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning. He was a member of the Ford City Veterans of Foreign Wars, Slovak Club in Ford City, and the Knights of Columbus.  He loved making his family and people laugh, golfing, crossword puzzles, football, baseball, baseball umpiring, dancing, music, and being around others.  Survivors include his wife, Genevieve (Recupero) Fox; daughters, Christine (Chuck) Furlong of Kittanning and Paula (Brian) Baiardi of North Huntington; son, Steven Fox of Kittanning; grandchildren, Anthony Fox, Seth Baiardi, and Brenden Baiardi; and great-grandchild, Payton Fox.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harry Fox, Joe Bunton, and Donald Fox; sisters, Martha Hahner, Orpha Morda, Florence Fox, and Winnie Schrecengost.  Services will be private and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
