He was a loving husband and an amazing dad and poppee.
He was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Kittanning to the late Nick and Geraldine (Mazzerella) Desiderio.
He was a supervisor at Apollo Gas Company, retiring in 1996 after 25 years of service. He also worked in the Ferguson family business as well as the family business, The Gold Star Tavern. Guy was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Kittanning, as well as the Elks, and Knights of Columbus.
He was an avid Steelers fan and a season ticket holder of Wildcat, Armstrong Central, and River Hawk football for over 50 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outside working in the yard. He was his grandchildren’s biggest supporter in every sporting event they ever participated in. He loved his family and helping out everyone any way he could.
