Hugh H. Adams, 87, of Kittanning, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Heritage Meadows Personal Care Home in Kittanning.  He was born on April 18, 1930, in Kittanning to the late Joseph and Chrissy (Hawkins) Adams.  Hugh was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Army.  Hugh was a member of the Mt. Union Bible Church, where he was a former elder, and he currently attended Harvest Community Church. He likes gardening, hunting, fishing, being an outdoorsman, caring for his coonhounds and the household dogs, most recently “Putsy.” He also enjoyed camping and driving to the “mountains” to watch wildlife.  He is survived by a son, Hugh W. (Jackie) Adams, of Kittanning; grandsons, Nathan (Tabbatha) Adams, who lives overseas, and Matthew (Erica) Adams, of Charleston, S.C.; and great grandchildren, Eli Adams and Olivia Adams.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nellie (Waugaman) Adams; brothers, Charles and Roy Adams; and sisters, Sarah Humenick, Jean Strawcutter, and Eva Yockey.  Friends will be received from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, and on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m, at the Harvest Community Church at 143 Reed Road, Kittanning, PA 16201. Pastor Michael Greiner from Harvest Community Church will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
