J. Keith Ruffaner, 90, of Worthington, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at Fair Winds Manor.  He was born in North Buffalo Township on Oct. 25, 1926, to the late Richard A. and Anna B. (Wilson) Ruffaner.  Keith was a lifelong farmer in the area.  He attended the Worthington Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and Deacon.  He also was a 4-H Leader, Armstrong School board member, Lenape Vo-Tech School board member, and a Center Valley Mutual Insurance director and agent.  Keith also bred cows for Curtiss Breeding Service and COBA Select Sires Breeding Service.  He enjoyed collecting toy tractors.  Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Gloria (Bowser) Ruffaner, whom he married on Aug. 24, 1949; daughter, Charlene Bundy of Worthington and her friend, Doug McCullough, of Templeton; son, Ronald (Beth) Ruffaner of Worthington; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jason and Megan, Anna and Cole Ruffaner of Worthington; Beckie and Scott, Elsie and Cora Williams of Kittanning; Sara and Scott, Brady and Brock Bowser of Kittanning; and Jared and Diane, Zachary, Brooklyn, and Alivia Bundy of New Brighton.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Worthington Baptist Church, where additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The Rev. Richard Buchanan, his church pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Keith’s memory to Three Rivers Hospice, 2500 Mossile Boulevard, Monroeville, Pa. 15146.
