Joseph Richard Peresie, 73, of Sugarcreek Township died Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was born on Jan. 30, 1944, in Rural Valley to the late Joseph and Elfrieda (Walters) Peresie. He was a retired teacher at Freeport High School. Joseph liked hunting and fishing and enjoyed playing the accordion as well as writing his own music for the accordion. He also liked to paint and wood-working. Survivors include sisters, Beverly (James) Cogley of Ravenna, Ohio, Sandra (Arthur) Hughes of Renfrew, and Rhonda (Arthur) Delano of Sugarcreek Township; niece, Terri (Joe) Coco of Topton; nephews, Mark Cogley of Ravenna, Ohio, Matthew (Nicole) Delano of Ann Arbor, Mich., Benjamin (Mary Theresa) Delano of Colorado Springs, Colo., Stephen (Maria) Hughes of Butler, Douglas (Amber) Hughes of Edinboro, and Christopher Hughes of Renfrew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are private and entrusted to the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
