Larry Francis ‘Pete’ McGinnis, 64, of Kittanning died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at his home. He was born Jan. 11, 1953, in Kittanning to Francis and Mildred (Waugaman) McGinnis and lived in the area all of his life. He was a former Rayburn Township Supervisor and member of the Rayburn Township Volunteer Fire Department. Larry was Protestant in faith. He liked bingo, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Mildred McGinnis; his wife, Mary E. (Little) McGinnis of Kittanning; eight children, Jason McGinnis of Kittanning, Adam McGinnis of Kittanning, Chad Forester Sr. of Buffalo, New York, Richard Little of North Apollo, Jeremy McGinnis of Buffalo, New York, Lindsay McGinnis-Brown of Buffalo, New York, Cory McGinnis of Kittanning, and Andrew McGinnis of Buffalo, New York, three step-children, Teresa Little, Amanda Little, and Eric Little; seven brothers, Ron (Sandy) McGinnis, Don (Cheryl) McGinnis, Paul (Stacey) McGinnis, Randy (Trish) McGinnis, and Jack (Bev) McGinnis, all of Kittanning, Jim (Della) McGinnis of Ford City. Terry McGinnis of Kittanning; one sister, Peggy (John) Waldenville of Ford City; 31 grandchildren; and one step great-grandson. He preceded in death by his father, Francis ‘Cuddy’ McGinnis, who passed away July 20, 2006; and two sisters, Vicky Lynn McGinnis, who passed away Nov. 8, 1962, and Carol L. Shumaker, who passed away Dec. 26, 2016. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Johns officiating. Interment at Ford City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home.
