Lois Irene (Bleakney) Wasson, 89, of Valley Township, died on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, in Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility.  She was born on Jan. 22, 1928, in Kittanning, Pa., to the late William G. and Edith (Barker) Bleakney.  Lois was a member of Mt. Union Bible Church, the Woodman of the World and Rayburn Township VFC Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed volunteering as a secretary and Sunday school teacher at her church. She also enjoyed helping senior citizens and making blankets for them with the mission circle at her church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends throughout the years.  Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory; grandson Jeffrey (Ashleigh) Wasson of Kittanning and their children Riley, Hunter, and Landon; and surviving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse A. Wasson and her only child J. William Wasson.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with her church pastor Rev. Richard Burns officiating.  Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.  Memorial contributions may be made in Lois’s name to Mt. Union Bible Church, 770 Anderson Creek Road, Kittanning, Pa. 16201
