Lydia P. Gaiser-Minteer, 93, of Kittanning, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Country Manor. Born May 2, 1922, in West Franklin Township, she was a daughter of the late John and Julia (Zvara) Pavlik. She formerly worked for the Graff family in Worthington, then as a secretary for the military during World War II, owned a grocery store in Walk Chalk and was a bookkeeper for Keystone Tall Trees. She was a longtime member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington and the Girl Scouts Council. She loved fishing and going on cruises. Survivors include Marve Gaiser Jr. (Connie), of Kittanning; and grandson, Lt. Daniel Gaiser (Allison), in the Air Force. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Marve Gaiser Sr.; second husband, Karl Minteer; sisters, Julia Goepfert, Rose Adams and Margaret Konesky. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington. Additional viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington, where service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Sue Irons officiating. Interment will be in Worthington Lutheran Cemetery.
