Marcia J. Shanafelt, 77, of Kittanning passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at ACMH Hospital and went to be with her Lord and Savior.

Marcia was born June 7, 1939, in Kittanning to the late Charles and Flo (Troutman) Toy.

She was a member of the First Church of God in Kittanning, where she had been a Resource Director for many years as well as a teacher in the Junior Church. She also worked at the Church’s State Office in Emlenton, where she lived for a number of years, before moving back to Kittanning.

Marcia was a 1957 graduate of Kittanning High School. She loved covered bridges and was very active in their organization collecting postcards, pictures, and history of the covered bridges. Antiquing, collecting glass salts, and cookbooks were other activities from which she received much enjoyment.

She was preceded in death by her parents. There is no surviving family, but Marcia had many friends from her church family.

Arrangements are private and under the care of the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
