Margaret Wilma (Bowser) Shankle, 88, of West Kittanning died on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, in the Armstrong County Health Center.  She was born on Jan. 12, 1928, in Kittanning, to the late Edward and Margaret (Younkins) Bowser.  Mrs. Shankle was a homemaker and a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church in East Franklin.  Wilma enjoyed traveling and doing crafts, and also loved to bake.  She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Shankle was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jack Shankle, who died on March 27, 1996; four sisters, Hazel Smith, Allene Bowser, Rudell Bowser, and Vera Slidic; and her brother, Edward Bowser.  Family and friends will be received on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, with her church pastor, the Rev. Kathleen Davis officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery in North Buffalo.
