Margaret Lou “Peggy” (Toy) Watkins, 85, of Indiana died peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Rose Haven in Indiana.
She was born March 4, 1931 in Kittanning to Roy C. and Julia M. Toy.
Peggy spent the last five years living in Indiana. She was a loving aunt and caregiver to many.
She was a member of The Summit Church in Indiana.
Family meant everything to Peg. She loved to cook for others, especially soup, buns, homemade pizza, spaghetti sauce, and cinnamon rolls. She grew her own garden. She also enjoyed playing cards with her card club girls. Loving others and putting their needs before hers was her heart’s desire.
She is survived by two brothers, William H. Toy of Kittanning and Donald K. Toy of Greensburg; two sisters, Betty L. King of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Judy E. Bell of Peoria, Ariz.; six nephews, Keith Bell of Kittanning, Kenny Bittinger of Dandridge, Tenn., Kevin King of Fort Lauderdale, Curt Bittinger of Cool Spring, Brian Bell of Peoria, and Greg Bittinger of Cocoa, Fla.; and two nieces, Lesa Schultz of Indiana, and Julie Cryan of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandra G. Bittinger.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. June 10 at the Summit Church, 2707 W. Pike Road, Indiana, with Pastor Dick Motzing officiating. A lunch will follow the service. Memorial contributions can be made in Peggy’s honor to the Rose Haven Activity Department, 132 Rose Haven Drive, Indiana, Pa. 15701. A special thanks to the staff at Rose Haven. The girls loved “Aunt Peg.”
