Mildred Elizabeth (Kiser) Griffiths, 88, of Kaylor died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot. She was born Jan. 17, 1929, in Bradys Bend Township to the late Harry and Stella (Benninger) Kiser. Mildred was a homemaker and also worked at Hutchinson’s Dry Cleaners before she had children. She was a member of St. Paul’s Community Church. Mildred liked baking, gardening flowers and vegetables, and taking care of her house. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Survivors include daughter, Cindy Griffiths of East Brady; son, James Griffiths (Marty) of East Brady; daughter, Patty Alcibiade (husband, Frank) of Ford City; sisters, Alice Grove of Pittsburgh and Doris Bearfield of East Brady; grandchildren, Veronica, Chrichele, Derek, Erica, and Keith; and great-grandson, David. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Griffiths; her parents; and brother, Harry ‘Buster’ Kiser. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday March 30, 2017, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville. An additional hour of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Paul’s Community Church, 2167 State Route 268, Chicora, with the Rev. Ryan Lucas officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mildred’s memory to the Sugarcreek Township Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements entrusted to the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville.
