Nathan J. Lash, 38, of Kittanning died Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born Aug. 6, 1979, in Kittanning to Rod and Robin (Kunselman) Lash.

Nathan was a 1997 graduate of Lenape Vo-Tech and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

A Marine Corporal Sergeant, he served with the 4th Marine Division, and was deployed twice to Iraq. For his efforts, he received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

A former coach for Armstrong Midget football, he also coached girls softball. He enjoyed watching football, camping, and fishing.

Survivors include his parents of Kittanning; daughter, Brooke Lash of Kittanning; step sons, Alexander Anthony and Joseph Goldinger, both of Kittanning; grandmother, Bernice Lash; and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kristen (Patcyk) Lash in 2010; maternal grandparents, Richard and Edna Kunselman; and paternal grandfather, Junior Lash.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, in the funeral home until time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jimmy Edwards officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Nathan’s memory to Mechling Shakley Veterans Center, 1413 Route 268, Cowansville, Pa. 16218
