March 23, 1960 ~ May 27, 2017 (age 57)

The Piano Brothers

Robert A. Burke, 57, of Craigsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 27th, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian hospital.  He was born March 23, 1960, in Kittanning to the late Frank and Connie (Williams) Burke.  He was a retired mine foreman at M&M Limestone with 30 years of service. He also served four years in the U.S. Army National Guard. Bob was a certified Lay Servant at the Craigsville United Methodist Church.  He was deeply devoted to his church, and took great pleasure in ringing the church bells on Sunday mornings. He was also a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Club.  Bob thought of himself as a mountain man. Hunting and fishing were his passion and he loved shooting guns with his friends and was a marksman. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. Bob loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a man of God. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 29 years, Pamela D. (Yeany) Burke; sons Jerry Cousins, Jesse (fiancé, Lindsay) Burke and John J. Cousins; daughter Miranda White; grandsons Skylar Cousins, Oden Cousins, Jordan White and Ivan Troutman; granddaughter Maria Lynae Burke; sisters Diane (John) Bargerstock and Gail (Jack) Blose; brother Mark (Lili) Burke; mother-in-law Connie Bowser; many nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  On June 11, 1988, Bob married his best friend and the love of his life, Pamela Yeany Cousins. They had 29 years of life and love. Pam will terribly miss her loving sparring partner. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents Frank and Geraldine Williams; paternal grandparents Richard and Margaret Burke; and father-in-law Edgar Bowser.  Close family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Craigsville United Methodist Church, 313 Craigsville Road, Worthington, with Pastor Michael B. Coats officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pamela at 283 Craigsville Road, Worthington, to help with funeral expenses.
