Rose Anna Wise, 83, of Kittanning, formerly of Adrian, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility. She was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Adrian, to the late Pressie “Piney” and Eliza (Crissman) Hooks. She was a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church. Rose enjoyed cooking, baking, and making quilts. Survivors include three stepchildren, Kenneth D. Wise of New Kensington; Carl R. Wise of Berkeley Springs, W. Va., and Kathy Lynn (Robert) Durham of Lexington, Ky.; seven step grandchildren; two brothers, George W. Hooks, Sr. and wife, Dorie, of Adrian and Clarence “Piney” Hooks and wife, Sonia, of Adrian; one sister, Clara Bell Dodson and husband, Darl, of Sarver; one brother-in-law, Gerald W. Wise of Cabot; and several nieces and nephews, who she loved and took care of. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll Wise; two brothers, Alvin and Robert Hooks; three sisters, Ellen Vass, Nora Mae Rupert, and Mary C. Hopper; and one nephew, Ray French. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville. Additional visitation will be held from noon until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmy Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Brush Valley Brethren Church Cemetery.
