Ruby E. Walls, 99, of Kittanning, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at ACMH Hospital on her birthday. She was born on Nov. 28, 1918, in East Franklin Township, to the late Frank and Nellie (Fleming) Toy. Ruby was a member of the Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church, where she was a member of the American Baptist Women. Ruby liked to crochet, quilting, knitting, cooking, baking, going to church, watching Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. She also liked flowers and having a flower garden, spending time with her family, and reading her Bible. Survivors include sons, David Walls and Howard (Edith) Walls; daughter-in-law, Susan Walls; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Madge Walter; half sisters, Patricia Kavacovsky, Dora (Richard) Tarr, and Debbie (Frank) Irwin; brothers, Blaine Toy and Russell (Sandy) Toy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Walls, Sr.; son, William Walls, Jr.; granddaughter, Lisa Walls; two infant great-grandchildren; brothers, Truman Toy, Samuel J. Toy, and Everett Toy; sisters, Charlotte Yount; half sister, Dorothy Toy; two step mothers, Greta (Cousins) Toy and Dorothy (Wasson) Toy; and daughter-in-law, Linda Walls. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church, 1006 Butler Road, Kittanning, where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The Rev. Charles Layne officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruby’s memory to the Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church.
