Shirley J. (Beck) Claypoole, 70, of West Kittanning, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.  She was born July 31, 1947, in Kittanning to the late Amos T. Beck and Genevieve (Kepple) Zambotti.  She was a homemaker and she attended the Furnace Run Chapel. Shirley loved going to yard sales, visiting with her sisters and kids, puzzles, and her computer and kindle.  She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Beck, of Kittanning, and Renee Claypoole, of Kittanning; three sons, Thomas B. Claypoole, of Kittanning, James Claypoole, of Kittanning, and Joshua Claypoole, of Georgia; grandchildren, Kenney Watterson, Christopher (Rosie) Carter, Dustin (Alexis) Claypoole, Carter Claypoole, Matthew Claypoole, Jamie Claypoole, David Brunson, Scott Brunson, Troy Stevens, Crystal Buie, and Hailey Austin; numerous great-grandchildren; five sisters, Joanna George, of Elderton, Linda Bendis, of Spring Church, Betty Ion-Petrakovich, of Kittanning, Judy Boyett, of Texas, Jenny Lou Evanick, of Indiana; and brother, Donald (Cheryl) Black, of Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph J. Claypoole; and brothers, Jim and Bob Welton.  Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Jimmy Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Elderton Cemetery.
