Timothy Randall Grafton, 79, of Worthington, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at home. He was born Nov. 6, 1938, in Freeport, to the late Glenn and Rhea (Kissick) Grafton. He was a former assistant manager at Value City Furniture in the Heights, and also taught at Grace Christian School. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Bible Church. Tim loved spending time with his family, gardening, singing, playing the organ and teaching at church. Survivors include his wife, Darla (Brocious) Grafton, of Worthington; children, Caleb Grafton, of Delaware, Sarah (Ryan) Sappe, of Leechburg, Micah (Janelle) Grafton, of Worthington, and Seth (Brittany) Grafton, of Worthington; grandchildren, Gracella Sappe, of Leechburg, Kennedy Sappe, of Leechburg, Jesse Grafton, of Worthington, and Joel Grafton, of Worthington; sister, Sandy Grafton, of Kentucky; brothers, Gary (Cynthia) Grafton, of Eau Claire, and Kevin Grafton, of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Rhea Grafton and stepmother, Verdie Grafton; sister, Karen McGrady; and brother-in-law, Richard McGrady.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Cornerstone Baptist Bible Church in Freeport, where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Mark Thomas will be officiating. Interment will be in Slate Lick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tim's honor to Beams Bible Ministry. In Memory donation envelopes will be available at the funeral and viewings. Isaiah 40:8 "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand forever."
