Jane (Hays) Conrad, 85, of Worthington, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Meadow Lake Manor in Worthington. She was born on Nov. 14, 1932, in Tarentum, to the late Robert and Margaret (Mc- Cutcheon) Hays. She worked as a medical receptionist and an English tutor for the Armstrong School District. Jane was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kittanning. She also was a member of the Worthington American Legion. Jane liked bingo, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, family gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Michael Conrad; daughter, Barbara (Richard) Smith of Worthington; granddaughter, Amanda (Jason) Stitt of Freeport; and grandson, Brian (Kierra) Smith of Worthington. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jerri Rodriguez; and an infant daughter. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington. Additional viewing will be held Sunday from noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Gillette officiating. Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s honor to the Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter.
