William Homer Fennell, 78, of Ford City, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 19, 1937, in Loyalhanna, to the late William Sword Fennell and Rosella (Caldwell) Fennell. He was a Ford City resident for 59 years and retired from 7 UP/Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. He was a member of Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking, was a manager of Little League Yankees for many years, sang in church choir and served as elder at Appleby Manor. He is survived by his son, William C. Fennell, of Natrona Heights; daughter Wendy (Scott) Methven, of Douglasville, Ga.; sons, Jack P. (Anita) Fennell, of Jeannette, Dirk A. (Vi) Fennell, of Kittanning, and Drew R. (Krista) Fennell, of Natrona Heights; and 14 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Patton Fennell; sisters, Jean Robertson, Martha Butler and Ailene Bish.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church in Ford City with the Rev. Laurie Milligan officiating.
