William Paul “Bill” Montgomery, 51, of Ford City died Friday, April 21, 2017, at home. He was born Jan. 31, 1966, in Butler to the late James Robert and Emogene Louise (McGuire) Montgomery. He liked hunting, fishing, playing pool, and going to gun bashes. Bill also loved spending time with his granddaughter. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Survivors include by his wife, Kathy (Hartzell) Montgomery of Ford City; stepson, Carl Lutz (companion, Lori) of New Bethlehem; stepdaughter, Amanda (James) Polka of Kittanning; stepson, Eric Lutz (companion, Amanda) of Ford City; granddaughter, Addelynne Polka of Kittanning; brothers, Jack Jones of Bruin and Rodney “Scron” Montgomery of Johnstown; sisters, Kathy Montgomery of East Brady and Tammy Bowser of Chicora; and his best friend, Scott Pinkerton. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Deb; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning with Pastor James Edwards officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
