Mary Jane (Wilkinson) McLaughlin

Mary Jane (Wilkinson) McLaughlin, 94, of West Kittanning, went to be with her Lord on Saturday April 6, 2024 at ACMH Hospital. 

She was born in Templeton, PA on February 25, 1930 to the late William Herbert and May Lena (Chestnut) Wilkinson.

Mary was a member of the Templeton United Methodist Church. 

She collected dolls from all over the world; she was known as the "Doll Lady". She made and sold lifelike dolls. Mary crocheted many things; including clothing for stuffed animals that she would give await anyone who helped her and to anyone she wished to give a gift from her heart. She arranged flowers in floral shops, and she also arranged flowers for weddings and special occasions. 

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband Robert McLaughlin whom she married on May 1, 1971 and for their 25th Wedding Anniversary they renewed their vows in the same chapel. She is also survived by her brother Donald (Kathleen) Wilkinson; her sister Betty (Alan) Mitchell; her son Billie Joe Shilling;  her nephew Layton "Sonny" Cook and wife Linda; niece Katherine Mechling; nephew Bill Reed and wife Martha; niece Lena McLaughlin and husband Jerry; nephew Brad Crissman and wife Karen; niece Dawn Lasher and Bradley Kent; many great nieces and nephews as well as a great-great niece; brother in law Harry McLaughlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Charlotte Brown and Maxine Reed; brother in law Larry McLaughlin.

Friends will be received on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 11, 2024 in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Craig Lindahl adnd Rev. Richard Molgaard officiating. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment is in the Cochran Cemetery in Templeton.
