Patricia A. (Ferguson) Desiderio, of Kittanning, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Heritage Meadows Personal Care Home on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was born in Manorville to James E. and Edna B. (McKinstry) Ferguson on December 12, 1933. Pat grew up in Manorville along with her 5 siblings, Lois, Robert (Bob), James (Tim), Marilyn (MaryLee) and Jerry (Deadeye). They had many wonderful memories and had a lot of stories to pass on to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pat married her high school sweetheart, Tom (Guy) Desiderio on July 25, 1953 and they shared 63 years of marriage until Tom passed in 2018. They enjoyed traveling throughout, especially trips to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Pat was employed at Mellon Bank for over 25 years. She definitely had the gift of gab, no one was a stranger after meeting her for 10 minutes. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, floral arrangements, but most of all shopping. Pat and Tom were avid supporters in their children’s and grandchildren’s sports endeavors. You could always find them in the bleachers or on the sidelines. Pat adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always insisting they have something to eat. She especially loved entertaining and spending Christmas Eve all together. She was of Catholic faith, attending St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Kittanning.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Sonnie (Bruce) Fleeger, of Kittanning; daughter-in-law, Peggy Desiderio, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Thomas Jr. “T.J.” (Jennifer), of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tye (Trisha), of Ford City, Pa., Brock (fiancé, Hannah), of San Francisco, Ca. and Brynn (Rachel), of Shelocta, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Harper, Kinsley, Tristano and Talia; her sister, Marilyn Eddinger, of North Carolina; and brother, Jerry (Amy), of Bryn Mar, Pa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; and son, Thomas, who passed away in 2006.
Pat will be remembered by all who loved and knew her, especially those who had her spaghetti and homemade sauce.
Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. Additional viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday, March 25, from 9:30 a.m. until time of parting prayers at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning with The Very Reverend Eric J. Dinga, V.F. as celebrant. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Pat's honor to St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 101 West High St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
