Aldora Harriet (Beers) Clever, 94, of Kittanning died Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the Armstrong County Health Center. She was the eldest of 15 children born to Nettie (Slagle) Beers and Raymond Earl Beers of Worthington, Pa. She was born July 5, 1922, in Kittanning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Clever Sr. and her daughter, Ida Mae (Clever) Olinger, also brothers, Paul Beers, Donald Beers, Roy Beers, and sisters, Sadie (Beers) Rupert and Bessie (Beers) Frantz , and also good friend, Rob Shriver.

She is survived by her son, Russell E. Clever Jr. (Margie) and grandson, Todd Clever (Angela) and great-grandchildren, Quinton, Braden, Avia, Vieira, and Vaila and also adopted daughter, Amanda Bartel (Kevin) and great-grandchildren, Kolton and Ava, granddaughter, Amy Clever and great-granddaughter, Lily, grandson, Steven Olinger (Lisa) and great-grandsons, Braxton and Rick, granddaughter, Christine Ruffner (Chet) and great-granddaughters, Hannah and Emma, son-inlaw, Rick Olinger, brothers, Clair Beers (Jessie), William Beers (Margaret), Clarence Beers (Irene), Kenneth Beers (Ruth), Calvin Beers (Kathy), sisters, Margaret Smeltzer (John), Helen Branan (Rob), Marthabelle Boyer-Miller (Ed), Deloris Miller (Jim).

Aldora was a lifetime member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Kittanning, where she belonged to the Women’s Guild and Loyalty Ladies Bible Class.

Her hobbies were baking, reading, crocheting, quilting, and doing jig saw puzzles. She enjoyed her church activities and spending time visiting with her large family, and will always be remembered for her kindness and sense of humor. We all hope to see Aldora again on the paradise earth when she is resurrected.

And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Rev. 21:4.

Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional viewing will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 333 N. McKean, Kittanning with the Rev. John W. Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
