Barbara Ann (Baker) Snyder, 59, of Cowansville, is now with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, in ACMH Hospital .

She was born on June 24, 1958, in Natrona Heights, to John Edward and Helen Baker.

Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker and member of Union First Presbyterian Church in Cowansville.

Barb was a 1976 graduate of Freeport High School and she loved her dog “Angel.”

For 20 years, Barb worked in the food industry, and also was employed for 10 years by Rite Aid.

Mrs. Snyder was also a Sunday school teacher for more than 25 years. She enjoyed painting, crafts, everything Christmas, and singing in the choir.

Barb leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 10 years, Richard G. Snyder, whom she married on April 20, 2007; her mother, Helen Lois Baker; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Carolyn

(Sipe) Baker; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Louella Snyder; brother-inlaw, Dennis and Kathy (Veronesi) Snyder; sister-in-law, Sally Snyder; nephews, Brian and Becka (Meli) Baker, Jim and Jenn (Olbeter) Baker, Charles Smith, Clayton Smith, and Cameron Smith; nieces, Elizabeth Snyder and Peter Kimmell and Meghan and Jonathan Kolbe; and great-nephews and nieces, Dakota, RJ, Wyatt, Logan, Madelyn, Noah, Nathaniel, Asher, Matthew, Aaron, and Micah.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Baker in 2007; and a brother-in-law, Richard Smith, in 2007.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, from 7-9 p.m. in the Union First Presbyterian Church, 824 East Brady Road, Cowansville and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Union First Presbyterian Church, where there also will be viewing on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mary Marks King and Pastor Robert Hindman co-officiating. Burial will follow in Cowansville Cemetery. Barb’s passion was her family and friends and she deeply cared for others. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Memorial contributions may be made in Barb’s name to the Endowment Fund held at The Richard G. Snyder YMCA Campus, 1150 North Water St., Kittanning, Pa. 16201
