"Becky" Charlotte Rebecca (Bellas) Johns

“Becky” Charlotte Rebecca (Bellas) Johns, 77, of Kittanning, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at home.  She was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Kittanning to the late Joseph and Helen (Matthews) Bellas, and Ralph and Alice Haycraft.  She was a lifelong resident of the area, and was a homemaker and caretaker. She was also previously employed at Moonlight Mushroom and she was a very successful entrepreneur.  Beck was the matriarch of her family. She touched so many lives and she lived life to the fullest. Her family and friends were very important to her as was her pool team, which has won first place for 30 years in a row.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Russell D. Johns of Kittanning, which she just celebrated her anniversary with on July 5. Together they are true examples of how to work hard and enjoy life.  She is also survived by her son James (Sue) Johns of Ford City, son Randy (Brenda) Johns of Carlton, son Ronald (Mary) Johns of Worthington, daughter Debra (Paul) Cressler of Kittanning, son Russell J. Johns of Kittanning, son Travis (Erin) Johns of Kittanning, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, brother Jim (Evelyn) Bellas of Kittanning, sister Linda Eckman (Harold Walker) of Vandergrift, brother Hen (Amy) Bellas of Kittanning, sister Bev (Ken) Eckman of Kittanning, sister Elizabeth “Betty” (Lee) Miller of Kentucky, sister in law Pat Bellas of Kittanning, sister-in-law Jane Haycraft of Indiana, sister-in-law Judy (Bob) Wyant of Fenelton, sister-in-law Wilma Brandt of Portersville, and is also survived by near and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Stella and Pup Matthews, brother William Bellas, brother Son Haycraft, great-grandchildren Stellar Cressler-Bowser and Randy Johns III, and grandson Zack Zion.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home at 200 S. McKean St. in Kittanning.  A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday July 10 in the funeral home with additional visitation from noon until the time of the service, with Evangelist Larry Krause officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.
