Betty E. Fry

Betty E. Fry, 86, of Kittanning, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018.  She was born March 20, 1932, in Kittanning to the late James E. and Jennie (Rosenberger) Schrecengost.  She worked at Pechan’s Bakery for many years and retired from Moonlight Mushroom Mines. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ.

Betty is survived by her three daughters, Jacqueline Schreckengost and husband, Ronald, Brenda Religa and husband, Tom, and Lisa Stitt and husband, Todd, all of Kittanning; six grandchildren, Ronald Schreckengost, Jr., and wife, Kelly, Christopher Schreckengost and wife, Maggie, Damon Religa, Shane Religa, Sara Religa, and Lynzee Stitt, all of Kittanning; eight great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Alexis, Riley, and Brooke Schreckengost, Noah and Anthony Religa, and Parker and Donovan Stitt; brother, Samuel Schrecengost; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, AnnaMae Dunmire, Mary August, and Violet Daniels; and brothers, Cecil Schrecengost and James L. Schrecengost.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Walters officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 333 N. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. 16201.
