Betty L. (Swank) Moody

Betty L. (Swank) Moody, 81, of Kittanning, died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Leechburg to the late Samuel J. and Edith (Cowan) Swank. Betty attended Bethel Bible Baptist Church in Worthington.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia L Kelly and husband, Patrick, Susan D. Bramlet, Pamela Meleason and husband, Stephen; grandchildren, John Kelly and wife, Regina, Daniel Meleason and wife, Julie, Joseph Meleason and wife, Justine, Nathan Bramlet and wife Stacey,Elizabeth Foreman and husband, Matt, Emmaline Newton and husband, Elijah, and Logan Beck; 17 great grandchildren; brother William Swank and wife Cindy; and sister Helen Smith and husband Darrel.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband J.R. Frank Moody, who died in 1995; daughter and son-inlaw Brandi and Dale Beck; granddaughter Katie Beck; and brother Donald Swank.

Friends will be received Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service with Pastor Nathan Bramlet officiating. Interment will be in Cowan Cemetery.
