Clarence Leroy “Sonny” Toy, 83, of Kittanning, died on Saturday Dec. 2, 2017, at Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility.  He was born on May 19, 1934, in Kittanning, Pa.  Sonny was a retired coal miner with Penn Allegheny Coal, then often was seen mowing grass or working at Toy’s Landscape Supply.  He was active with Little League and Junior League baseball, coaching numerous teams with his sons while they grew up. He attended all of his children and grandchildren’s events.  He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.  Sonny leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Mary F. “Mimi” (Valasek) Toy of Kittanning; daughters Michele A. (Toy) Bush and husband Arthur of Kittanning, Mary E. “Cricket” Toy of Kittanning; sons Gregory K. Toy and wife Jennifer (Spangler) of Kittanning, Keith C. Toy and wife Michelle of Burlington, N.C., Curtis M. Toy and wife Pamela (Swick) of Kittanning; granddaughters Jodi (Toy) Murphy and husband Bernie of Kittanning, Casey (Bush) Kopcsak and husband Keith of Charleston, S.C., Alison (Bush) Andronic and husband Julian of Pittsburgh, Carly Toy of Kittanning, Sophie (Toy) Chilton and husband Drew, of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Kelsey Toy of Orlando, Fl.; grandsons Derek Bush of Gainesville, Fl., Douglas Bush of Pittsburgh, Ryan Toy of Pittsburgh, Cody Toy of Kittanning, and Jesse Toy; granddaughter Ivey Toy of Burlington, N.C.; great-granddaughters Maddison Toy-Waterson of Kittanning, and Avah Murphy of Kittanning; great-grandson Maxwell Kopcsak of Charleston, S.C.; sisters Margaret “Peg” McCoy and husband Chuck of Kittanning, Louise Skinner and husband William of Kittanning, Kathy BeHanna and husband David of Beaver Falls, and Vicky Luger and husband Regis of Beaver Falls; brothers Robert Toy and wife Dixie of Kittanning and Clifford Toy Jr. and wife Chris of Baden, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence R. Toy and Clifford & Nellie Toy; brother Joseph Toy and a granddaughter Chloe Noelle Toy.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday Dec. 5, 2017, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. and on Wednesday Dec. 6, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Samuel Swick officiating.  Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.
