Dale Ellsworth Forringer, 82, of Kittanning passed away on Feb. 12, 2017, at his residence with his best friend by his side.  He was born on March 18, 1934, to Foster and Clair (Craig) Forringer in Mahoning, PA.  Dale was a retired laborer in forge at Pullman Standard/ Trinity in Butler.  He was of the Protestant Faith.  Survivors include wife Elsie (Fox) Forringer; a daughter: Roxanne (Tim) Futscher of Kittanning; a granddaughter: Halie Futscher of Kittanning; a grandson: TJ Futscher of Kittanning; great granddaughters: Laynie Futscher of Kittanning and Adilynn Milliken of Worthington; a brother: Leroy “Tooter” Forringer (Dot) of Kittanning. He was grandfather to numerous other special children and grandchildren including: Eric and Kathy Hoffman, Richy and Jackie Toy, Zac and Ciara Hoffman, Allen and Jade Ann Wurst, Eli, Ava and Jacob Lamison, Serenity and Nora Hawk, Maya Hoffman, Andy, Christy and Cole Shaffer, and all who knew him.  Dale was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Carol Ann, who passed away at birth; brothers Donald, Charley, Russell, Mason and Foster “Buck” Forringer; and sisters Bessie Beatty, Leona Chestnut and June Fox.  Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Widnoon Methodist Church Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Senior Life, 154 Hindman Road, Butler PA, 16001.
