Daniel L. Bowser, 87, of Kittanning, died Monday, March 26, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
He was born June 17, 1930, in Kittanning, to the late Edward Evans “Chappie” Bowser and Odell (Kilgore) Bowser.
Dan was a retired steamfitter with Local 449.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War.
Dan was member of North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church.
He belonged to Buffalo Valley Sportsman’s Club, the Elks, and Steamfitter’s Union.
Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He is survived by son, Brian (Patsy) Bowser of Cowansville; daughter, Dana (Cary) Gossett of Kittanning; granddaughters, Ashley Hodak of Kittanning, Kristin Bowser of Worthington; grandson, Connor Gossett of Apollo; and brother, Byrd (Bev) Bowser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet Bowser; sister, Renee F. Bowser; and brothers, Ray, Lenny, and Eddie Bowser.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church, 135 Glade Run Road, Kittanning, with Pastor Jim Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates with full military honors. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the church following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dan’s honor to North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church.
