Douglas T. “Skinny” Mechling, 62, of Kittanning died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at his residence. He was born May 30, 1954, in Kittanning to the late Jack and Constance (Atwood) Mechling and he lived in the area all of his life. Survivors include brothers, Jack Mechling, Kelly (Sue) Mechling, and Steve (Danna) Mechling, all of Kittanning; and Dirk Mechling of Hermitage; and nieces and nephews, Shawna (Joel) Breghenti, Jared (Allie) Mechling, Zak Mechling, Max Mechling, and Emma Mechling. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Don Breghenti officiating. Interment will be at Kittanning Cemetery.
