Edmund M. Shuster, 79, of Applewold, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at home. He was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Kittanning to the late Edmund and Allyn (Stinger) Shuster. Edmund was a lifelong resident of the area and was retired from the United States Air Force where he served for 25 years, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kittanning, and also belonged to the VFW in Kittanning and the VA in Butler and Kittanning.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia (Neal) Shuster of Kittanning; daughters, Wendy (John) Buzard of Kittanning, Heidi Shuster of Kittanning, and Jennifer (Tim) Ours of Indiana, Pa.,; son, Edmund (Kim) Shuster of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Rebeccah Turkhill, Katie Biga, Andrea Johnson, Bethany Guminey, Ben Buzard, L.J. Buzard, Ashley Hedinger, Sarah Hedinger, Edmund Shuster, Eli Shuster, Rylee Shuster, Tayvon Shuster; and great-grandchildren, Collin Biga, Charlotte Biga, Wrenleigh Turkhill, Isaiah Guminey, and Piper Guminey. He was preceeded in death by his parents and sisters.
Edmund requested that there be no viewing. Arrangements are under the care of the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. A Celebration of a Life Lived will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at 11 a.m, at the First Baptist Church in Kittanning with Rev. Mark Brady officiating. A dinner will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast at the First Baptist Church in Kittanning at 334 Arch Street, Kittanning, Pa. 16201.
