Edward A. Beers, 72, of Kittanning, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at ACMH Hospital.  He was born on July 26, 1945, in Kittanning. He worked at Eljer Pottery, the coal mines, and drove the town bus for MCTA. Edward loved his dogs, woodworking, riding his motorcycle, and being with family. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.  Survivors include his wife, Candace Beers, of Kittanning; his children: Mary Beers of New Castle, Elizabeth Beers of Sarver, Christina (Jim) Tabaka of Hermitage, Jessica (Jeniann) Farr of Manorville, Teresa Beers of Rural Valley, Brandie (Michael) Fox of Templeton, Douglas (Buffie) Kasler of South Carolina, and Charles (Alysia) Hood of Ford City; 13 grandchildren: Anthony Stockdill, Kendra Potts, Justin Potts, Teague Tabaka, Ethan Tabaka, Danielle Mechling, Madison Donaldson, Sabrina Fox, Nicholas Fox, Blair Fox, Izabella Hood, Kalab Kasler and Kelsey Kasler; 3 great grandchildren, Blake Mechling, Annabelle Stockdill and Llleana Stockdill; a sister, Cynthia McAndrews; and two brothers, Sid Ball and Rich Beers.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Annabelle Ball; and his stepfather, Richard Ball.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service with Rev. Steven Kromer officiating.  Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter.
