George E. Burdette Jr., 59, of Sugarcreek Township passed away. He was born March 7, 1958, in Fort Riley, Texas, to the late George E. (Jean) Burdette Sr. and Katherina (Herzog) Denney. He formerly was a construction worker. George like riding motorcycles, hunting, and he loved carrying on with the kids. Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth A. Burdette of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Zayvon Bell of Butler and Zoey Hollobaugh of Kittanning; siblings, Grace (Larry) Craig of Dayton; Juanita Burdette (Judith Yothers) of Indiana, Pa.; Tracy Cousins (Lawrence Goodman) of Worthington; Kelly Burdette of Cowansville; Marschell Denney and Rodney Denney, both of Georgia; special friend, Brandy Shankle; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Greg Burdette; brother, Melvin Denny; and nephew, Kenneth Cousins. A memorial celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are handled by Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville.
