George A. Mauthe, 90, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility, Kittanning.

He was born on March 15, 1927.

George was a electrician for many years and was a veteran.

He was a member of the Elks, Lions, Masons and Eagles. He loved to play piano, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include son, Eric (Lisa) Mauthe; daughter, Sheila Shirey; grandsons, Zach (Natalie) Mauthe and Jacob (Jessica) Mauthe; grandchildren, Rachel, April, and Nick; and great-grandchildren, Alivia, Zoey, Xavier, Jaxon, Jace and Brayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith Mauthe; two sons, Brad and Greg “Bert” Mauthe; and daughter-in-law, Amanda Mauthe.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
