Gregg Gingrich

Gregg Gerald Gingrich, 62, of Sherrett, died Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.  Born September 19, 1955, in York, Pa., he was the son of Gerald and Rose (Bowser) Gingrich.  He was a woodworker. He was a member of Harvest Community Church, where he was on the worship team. Gregg attended Central High School, class of 1973, where he participated in the marching band and chorus. He lived and worked in York until moving to Kittanning in 1996.  He loved God and his family. He liked sports especially football and golf. He also liked singing for the Lord, father-daughter dances with Emma, traveling, woodworking, camping, and playing games with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy (Johns) Gingrich, of Sherrett; mother, Rose Marie Mazzotta, of York, Pa.; father, Gerald Gingrich, of Dillsburg, Pa.; son, Luke Gregory Ulysses Gingrich, wife, Toni, and their children Haley and Ian; title of grandfather but role of father to Emma Johns and Robbie Wolfe; step daughters: Carrie Mercatell, of Chicora, and Erin Johns and fiancé Gary Burk, of Chicora ; grandchildren: Bret King, Britnee Craig, Taylor Mercatell, Jaysa Capone, and Shaylee Capone; great grandson, Thor King; brothers: Timothy (Pam), Thomas (Josephine), and Todd (Deb) Gingrich, all of York, Pa.; and nieces: Addison, Thierry, Alicia, Katelynn, Patricia, and Diana.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Reverend and Mrs. Ulysses (Mary Bess) Gingrich and Mr. and Mrs. Absalom (Beulah) Bowser; and granddaughter, Angel Mercatell.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Brush Valley Cemetery, Adrian.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
