Harry Mohney Jr., 88, of Kittanning died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

He was born on July 4, 1928, in Kittanning to the late Harry C. and Goldie (Young) Mohney.

Harry was a crane operator for Adam’s Steel Erection and Alpha Steel.

He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Kittanning.

He loved gardening and working, as well as spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Gregg (Jeri) Mohney of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Terry (Dan) Barker of Kittanning; four grandchildren, Greg (wife Delana Zapata) Geyer of Xenia, Ohio; Jill Mohney of Dayton, Ohio; Jason Barker of Kittanning; and Shanan (Jeremy) Richardson of Butler; five great-grandchildren, Daniel and Tyler Barker, Michael and Alex Richardson, and Paul Schwieters; and one sister, Louave Hollobaugh of Sherrett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Delores H. Mohney, who passed away in 2010.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning with the Rev. Ron Jurke officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orphans of the Storm.
