Howard W. Hopwood, 72, of Kittanning, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at UPMC Shadyside.  He was born July 6, 1945, in Grays Landing to the late William and  Iola (Rankin) Hopwood.  He was a General Foreman for Asplundh Tree Service.  Howard was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, and fishing.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon Hopwood; daughters, Tammy Green and husband, Ron, of New Kensington; Hazel Cressler and husband, Shawn, of Kittanning; Amanda Brophy and husband, Michael, of Sewickley; Joie Hopwood of Kittanning; and Kristine Pressel of Denver, Colo.; and grandchildren, Michael, Aubrey, Mairead, and Maeve.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 brothers; and two sisters.  A private viewing and service were held and arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Howard’s honor to St. Jude’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
