Ivan Sidney “Sid” Fiscus Jr., 84, of Cowansville, died Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot. He was born August 2, 1935 in Kittanning to the late Ivan Sidney Fiscus Sr. and Grace (Jordan) Fiscus. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing cards, and hunting. Ivan was a Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. He was an avid fisherman. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He served in the National Guard as well as the U.S. Army Reserves. He attended Grace Brethren Church in West Kittanning.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra J. (Heasley) Fiscus, whom he married July 19, 1983; children, Alvin Fiscus and wife, Cheri, Sharon Johns and husband, Randy, Bard Cadwell (Tim Dennis), Dave Fiscus and wife, Cathy, Michael Fiscus and wife, Christine, Bruce Fiscus and wife, Dawn, and Shelia McHaddon and husband, John; grandchildren, Michelle and Seth King, Jayci and Doug Seybert, Chad and Rhonda VanDyke, Jason VanDyke, Jamie VanDyke, Cole Fiscus, Jennifer Fiscus, Carrie Fiscus, Tai-Lyn and Fred Sammons, Travis and Tshenia Fiscus, Matthew and Nicole Wilson, Dylan McHaddon, and Holly and Chris Tarvido; stepdaughter, Beverly Logue and husband, Ron; step-grandchildren, Scott Brown, Julie and Michael Eldridge, Shannon and Christopher Logue, and Rebbecca Logue; 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria Hall, Norma (Eddie) Wingard, Elaine Walker, Sandford (Marsha) Fiscus, Richard Fiscus, and Ronald (Mary Jo) Fiscus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Fiscus; sisters, Jeanie Porter and Marie Foust; and brother, Doug Fiscus.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Rd., Cowansville, Pa. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday at Grace Brethren Church in West Kittanning from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Larry Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Kittanning Cemetery.
