James Millard Wiles, 76, of Kittanning, died on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 17, 1941, in Kittanning, to the late Orval C. and Anna C. (Schottenheimer) Wiles. James was an instrument repair technician for West Penn Power and a U.S. Navy veteran. He also was a lifetime member of the Kittanning Elks. Mr. Wiles enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was involved with Little League baseball for many years and later he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandkids. James leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Carol (Fiscus) Wiles; daughter, Amy Wiles of Palmyra, Pa.; son, J.G. (Michelle) Wiles of Glenshaw, Pa.; grandkids, Cole James Proper of Palmyra, Cameron James Wiles of Glenshaw, and Savannah Carol Wiles of Glenshaw; and brother, Glenn (Shirley) Wiles of Applewold. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Orval and Dan Wiles; and sisters. Ruby Adams, Opal Mauthe, Pearl Russ, Shirley Campbell, and Kathryn Stockdill. Per Jim’s wishes there will be no viewing or services. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington. Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
