Lawrence “Larry” Reuben Crawford, 64, of Kittanning, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018. He was born Aug. 30, 1953, in Brady’s Bend, Pa. to the late Henry John and Carmela Ann “Minnie” (Silverio) Crawford Sr. He retired after serving as Sheriff of Armstrong County for 20 years. Larry was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning, and also belonged to the Sons of Italy 1484 in Brady’s Bend and the Fraternal Order of Police. Larry was a generous and loving family man who lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and visiting the family’s camp. He was happy watching the Pirates, playing poker, and making wine, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Kim (Cumberland) Crawford of Kittanning; son Brandon (Lindsay) Crawford of Sarver, sons Travis (Jessica) Crawford and Lance (Katelynn) Crawford of Kittanning; grandchildren Sophia, Trenten, Holly, Tanner, and Emery; brother Henry Crawford of Brady’s Bend; sisters Mary Ann O’Donnell and Elaine (Jack) Grazioli of Kittanning; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Carmela Crawford, brother-in-law Joseph O’Donnell, and sister-in-law Sandy Crawford.
Friends will be received on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean St., Kittanning. Parting prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church, in Kittanning, with the Rev. Douglas E. Dorula officiating.
