Maria T. (Mazzotta) Turco

Maria T. (Mazzotta) Turco, 87, of Kittanning, died Monday, June 4, 2018, at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 14, 1931, in Lago, Italy to the late Guerino and Domitilla (Scanga) Mazzotta.

Maria came to the United States in 1948.

She worked at the Armsdale County Home and retired from the Armstrong County Health Center.

Maria was a member of St. Mary’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting blankets gardening and planting flowers.

She loved to travel back to Italy with her family which she did six times.

Survivors include: son Angelo and wife, Angela Turco, Kittanning; son Dr. Frank and wife, Linda Turco, Kittanning; daughter Lina Milligan, Kittanning; grandchildren: Dr. Maria and husband, Chris Osborne, Oakmont; Dr. Domenic and wife Dr. Katherine Turco, Bellefonte; Dr. Nicole Milligan and husband, Burnett Smith, Kittanning; Robert Milligan III, Kittanning; Dr. Nathan Turco, Greensburg; Dr. Neil Turco, Aspinwall; Nicholas Turco, Kittanning; Nolan Turco, Kittanning; great grandchildren Lily Osborne, Leo Osborne, Luca Turco, Alessia Turco and Karina Turco; brother Anthony and wife Frances Mazzotta, Lower Burrell; sister in-law Elvira Turco, Kittanning; sister-in-law Maria Turco, Italy; numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband of 56 years, Dominic Turco, who died in 2006; son-in-law Robert Milligan, Jr., who died in 2003; brother-in-law Anthony Turco; brother-in-law Angelo Turco; brother-in-law Joe Turco and wife, Rafaella.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Parting prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning, with Father Douglas E. Dorula officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Kittanning.
